Senior Contracts Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Contracts Engineer to join NMDC Dredging and Marine in Abu Dhabi. The role will support the commercial and technical aspects of our dredging and marine projects, ensuring contracts are managed efficiently and risks are mitigated.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure commercial resources are adequate for successful project delivery.
• Maintain and manage project risk registers, identifying risks early and implementing contingencies.
• Implement NMDC commercial procedures on site and maximise cash flow through timely valuations, invoicing and payment collection.
• Manage procurement of sub‑contractors and prepare variations, claims and dispute documentation.
• Promote knowledge sharing, motivate project teams and lead by example.

Required profile

• Strong commercial and technical understanding of dredging, marine and civil infrastructure construction.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with multicultural teams.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks across divisions and to accept constructive feedback.

Required skills

• Extensive contract knowledge, including experience with FIDIC forms.
• Negotiation and contract administration expertise.
