Senior Cost Manager – Fit‑out Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Manager or Senior Cost Manager to lead cost management for fit‑out projects in Dubai. You will oversee budgeting, financial performance and contract administration across all project stages.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pre‑contract services including feasibility studies, cost planning, Bills of Quantities and tender documentation.
• Develop, monitor and control project budgets from inception through completion, performing detailed measurement and cost analysis.
• Administer contract procedures in line with standard form contracts (FIDIC preferred) and identify financial risks.
• Oversee procurement processes, vendor negotiations and tender documentation to optimise costs.
• Handle post‑contract services such as interim applications, change management, variation valuations and extensions of time.
• Conduct cost reconciliation, variance analysis and financial forecasting, providing corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare specialised reports (Estimate, Cost, Procurement, Tender) for stakeholders and senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline; MRICS or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of cost management experience in fit‑out, interior design or construction, preferably in the UAE market.
• Prior consultancy experience and strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Leadership experience for senior level, including mentoring junior staff and managing multiple projects.

Required skills

• CostX (preferred cost management software).
• ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling).
