Senior Data Engineer

About the role

The Senior Data Engineer will help build and operate Innovo Group’s data platform, turning business information into reliable, governed, and reusable data assets. This hands‑on position requires independent work, sound technical decisions, and ownership from design through production support.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, release, operate and support robust data pipelines and platform components.
• Integrate data from business systems, databases, APIs, files and external sources using secure, scalable patterns.
• Translate business and technical requirements into well‑designed transformations, data models, shared datasets and semantic layers.
• Implement data quality, validation, freshness, lineage, monitoring and exception‑handling controls.
• Apply engineering best practices such as version control, automated testing, documentation, controlled releases and incident management.
• Continuously improve existing data flows for reliability, performance, scalability, security and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT business partners, analytics, architecture, AI, cybersecurity and other technology teams to deliver practical data outcomes.
• Contribute to the data platform roadmap, technical standards, reusable components and architecture decisions.
• Investigate and resolve data, pipeline and platform issues, sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on data engineering, platform delivery or software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to design and own end‑to‑end data solutions independently.
