Senior Data Engineer

About the role

cander is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement a defense‑grade data lakehouse that will serve as the single source of truth for its AI‑driven supply chain platform. You will lead the technical execution of Workstream 1, integrating complex enterprise systems and unstructured data to enable real‑time analytics and generative AI tools.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy secure Data Lakehouse environments for AI‑powered supply chain intelligence.
• Lead the implementation of Workstream 1: Data & Platform Foundations, mapping SAP S/4HANA, Ariba and other ERP systems.
• Design ingestion pipelines that extract high‑volume transactional data and make it available near real‑time.
• Process and integrate unstructured data such as technical drawings and regulatory documents.
• Ensure data lineage, security and compliance with defense‑grade standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support forecasting and generative AI applications.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating large‑scale data lakehouse or data warehouse solutions.
• Strong background in integrating SAP S/4HANA, Ariba or similar ERP systems.
• Experience handling both structured and unstructured data at scale.
• Ability to work within agile frameworks and deliver high‑performance pipelines.
