Senior Data Scientist – AI & ML

About the role

As a Senior Data Scientist in the global AI hub of Delivery Hero’s talabat platform, you will design, build and ship machine learning and generative AI systems that drive product and business decisions. You will own the end‑to‑end ML lifecycle for a specific domain, collaborating with product and business managers.

Key responsibilities

• Frame ambiguous business problems into well‑defined ML tasks with clear success criteria.
• Design, develop and deploy end‑to‑end ML and generative AI pipelines, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, serving and monitoring.
• Build and maintain robust data models, feature stores and training pipelines (e.g., Airflow) that support production workloads.
• Conduct experiments (A/B and multivariate) to measure model impact and iterate on model performance.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices in MLOps and engineering.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning engineering and generative AI, with a track record of shipping models to production.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field; postgraduate degree is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, ownership and ability to collaborate across product and engineering teams.
• Experience with online consumer product settings and large‑scale data environments is a plus.
