Senior Designer Lead of Interior and Exterior Trim

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer Lead for interior and exterior trim to join our design team. The role combines hands‑on creative leadership with responsibility for design, specification and delivery of trim, mouldings and architectural joinery across residential, hospitality and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead concept and detailed design for interior and exterior trim, including skirtings, architraves, cornices, cladding trims, fascias, verandas, balustrades and bespoke joinery.
• Produce and review technical and shop drawings, specifications and BIM‑ready models in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Manage and mentor junior designers, ensuring quality control and technical review.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, suppliers and contractors to resolve design and installation issues.
• Specify materials, finishes and fixings, considering durability, fire rating and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare cost‑aware design options, support tender evaluation and conduct site visits for verification and snagging.

Required profile

• Degree or HND in Interior Design, Architecture, Product Design or related discipline.
• Minimum 6–8 years experience in interior/exterior trim, architectural joinery or finishing details, with proven leadership on medium to large projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, fire safety requirements and relevant British Standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
