Senior Director – Development & Delivery

About the role

A premier, publicly listed real estate development company in the GCC region is seeking an exceptional construction executive to lead its project portfolio. The Senior Director – Development & Delivery will assume overall responsibility for leading, structuring, and executing a diverse array of large‑scale residential, commercial, and mixed‑use development projects across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute strategic project delivery plans aligned with corporate growth and profitability targets.
• Direct and oversee all live project portfolios, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to world‑class quality standards.
• Establish and enforce robust project management methodologies, SOPs, and in‑house tracking dashboards.
• Manage multi‑project budgets, capital allocation, and forecasting to protect gross‑margin targets.
• Lead, mentor, and build high‑performing project teams, setting KPI structures and driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (required); MBA or advanced degree (highly preferred).
• Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in real‑estate development or major construction delivery, with 8‑10 years in senior executive roles.
• Proven track record of delivering multiple large‑scale, high‑complexity mega‑projects from concept through hand‑over.
• Deep knowledge of international contracts (e.g., FIDIC), contract administration, and high‑value claim resolution.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, MRICS, or chartered engineering status are highly desirable.
