Senior Director - Financial Reporting & Taxation

About the role

Core42 is seeking a Senior Director to lead financial reporting and taxation across the group. This senior finance leader will be responsible for the integrity of statutory and management reporting, as well as the full spectrum of the organisation's tax obligations in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close, delivering consolidated financial statements on time and in accordance with IFRS and group policies.
• Prepare technical accounting position papers on complex transactions such as revenue recognition, leases, impairment and business combinations.
• Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements for all entities within scope.
• Manage the end‑to‑end UAE corporate tax and VAT compliance cycle, including registrations, filings and payments.
• Oversee transfer pricing documentation and inter‑company arrangements in line with local and OECD requirements.
• Monitor tax legislation changes and advise the business on practical impacts.
• Lead the external audit process as the primary point of contact, ensuring timely and clean audit outcomes.
• Strengthen the internal control framework over financial reporting and remediate identified gaps.
• Provide definitive technical accounting and tax guidance on new deals, entities and structures, collaborating with Treasury and Legal.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior finance leadership, preferably within a multinational or technology‑focused organisation.
• Proven track record of managing IFRS reporting, consolidation and statutory filings.
• Deep knowledge of UAE corporate tax, VAT, economic substance and transfer pricing regulations.
• Strong audit and governance experience, including managing external auditors and internal controls.
• Ability to build and develop senior finance talent across reporting, tax and finance operations.
