Senior Electrical Engineer – Graduate Programme (UAE National)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electrical Engineer (UAE National) to start a professional career with a leading global engineering consultancy. The role provides hands‑on exposure to oil & gas and energy‑transition projects while supporting technical, professional and leadership development through a structured graduate programme.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing electrical engineering deliverables such as calculations, drawings, datasheets and specifications.
• Support electrical studies including load lists, cable sizing, earthing, lighting and power distribution.
• Work closely with senior engineers to understand project requirements and execution strategies.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, workshops and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, standards and client specifications.
• Engage actively in graduate development, mentoring and training activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years of experience (or strong foundational knowledge for a graduate).
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
• Motivation to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment.
• Ability to work full‑time from Wood’s Abu Dhabi office.
