Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Careers International is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer for a well-known Civil & MEP contracting company in the UAE, which has ongoing building and infrastructure projects. The role leads the execution of complete electrical works and supervises the team on site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of complete electrical works, including LV/MV distribution, cabling, lighting, small power and ELV systems
• Review electrical shop drawings, load schedules, cable sizing and material submittals
• Coordinate with DEWA and authorities for approvals, inspections and power connection
• Plan resources and monitor electrical progress against the project programme
• Supervise testing and commissioning of panels, cables, earthing and lighting systems
• Ensure quality, specification and HSE compliance on all electrical works
• Lead and mentor site engineers, supervisors and foremen

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of electrical execution experience in building and infrastructure projects; GCC experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEC/BS standards and DEWA regulations
• Experience in testing and commissioning of LV/MV systems
• UAE driving licence and Society of Engineers registration preferred

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
• DIALux and ETAP are an advantage
