Senior Electrical Sales Engineer - Electrical & Switchgear

About the role

A client of Element Search is looking for a commercially driven Senior Electrical Sales Engineer to develop business, manage key accounts and drive sales of electrical products in the UAE market. The ideal candidate has experience in the MEP construction sector, strong technical knowledge of electrical products and established relationships with contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Sell electrical products such as power cables, wires, switchgear, electrical components and related accessories.
• Develop new business and maintain relationships with MEP contractors, electrical contractors, consultants, developers and end users.
• Identify upcoming construction projects, track tenders and create sales opportunities through proactive market development.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations, technical submittals, tenders and commercial proposals.
• Recommend suitable electrical products and coordinate with technical and procurement teams.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to meet sales targets and profitability.
• Manage key accounts, keep a healthy sales pipeline and follow up on leads and outstanding quotations.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to find growth opportunities.

Required profile

• 5-7+ years of experience in electrical sales, preferably in MEP construction or electrical trading.
• Established network of MEP contractors, electrical contractors, consultants and project clients in the UAE.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and developing new accounts.
• Experience with project-based sales, tenders, quotations and commercial negotiations.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of electrical products, especially cables, switchgear, circuit breakers and electrical distribution components.
• Tender preparation and quotation handling.
