Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Navigation

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to lead the development of advanced navigation solutions for mission‑critical defence applications. You will design, develop and maintain embedded software that integrates GPS, INS and sensor‑fusion technologies, delivering high‑performance, reliable systems from concept to deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain embedded C/C++ applications in real‑time environments.
• Implement navigation algorithms for GPS, INS and multi‑sensor fusion and integrate them with hardware platforms.
• Produce compliant software documentation, architecture and design specifications.
• Participate in design reviews, software architecture discussions and testing strategies.
• Support verification, validation and certification activities, including DO‑178C compliance.
• Use configuration management tools to ensure code integrity and traceability.
• Develop and maintain internal software tools and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex defence programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of embedded software development experience using C/C++.
• Strong experience with real‑time operating systems (RTOS) and full software lifecycle.
• Experience with DO‑178C or equivalent certification processes is highly desirable.
