Senior Engineer - Construction (Piping/Mechanical)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Senior Engineer – Construction (Piping/Mechanical) to lead subcontractor management and supervise mechanical, HVAC, piping, painting, insulation, refractory and fire‑proofing works on its Abu Dhabi projects. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality construction within a 90‑day look‑ahead schedule while ensuring compliance with contract and Petrofac standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise subcontractors for Mechanical/HVAC, Piping, Painting, Insulation, Refractory and Fire‑proofing activities.
• Develop and maintain 90‑day look‑ahead and 6‑week construction schedules.
• Ensure all work complies with contract requirements, Petrofac Management System, and relevant national and international standards.
• Review and approve subcontractor execution plans, challenge for efficiency, and verify Go/No‑Go checklists before mobilisation.
• Coordinate construction methods and sequencing for critical activities with subcontractors.
• Contribute to scope planning, cost estimating and schedule development for assigned work packages.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of relevant construction engineering experience.
• Proven experience in managing mechanical and piping construction projects.
• Strong understanding of contract compliance, quality control and safety requirements.
