Senior Engineer – Embedded Software Integration and Test

About the role

EDGE Group is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Verification Engineer to lead verification and DT&E activities for the Halcon program. You will manage requirements, test procedures, traceability, execution and reporting while supporting software qualification and mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain verification plans, test procedures, reports and requirements traceability across product variants.
• Plan, coordinate and lead embedded software testing and DT&E activities, including test benches, simulators, resources and test teams.
• Investigate and resolve test failures, deviations and verification issues to ensure successful requirement verification.
• Prepare and maintain Test and Evaluation Master Plans, VCRMs and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in software DT&E.
• Strong background in embedded software verification, requirements management and traceability.
• Experience with DO-178C certification, preferably Level A, in military or aviation domains.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C and Python.
• Version control using GIT or SVN.
• Requirements management tools such as Jama.
• Automated verification tools and hardware debugging equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG debuggers).
• Knowledge of DO-178C certification processes.
• ISTQB certification (advantageous).
