Senior Engineer – Model‑Based Engineering & Systems/Software Engineering

About the role

EDGE Group is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead Model‑Based Engineering (MBE) and Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities for the Halcon program. The role focuses on creating and maintaining system models, ensuring requirements traceability, and integrating the Digital Thread across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SysML system/subsystem models, interfaces, parameters, baselines, and related deliverables.
• Manage requirements, model, and verification traceability, performing change impact analysis across requirements, models, and test cases.
• Support Digital Thread integration using ALM, PLM, and configuration management tools, automating tasks with Python or MATLAB.
• Lead small technical activities, conduct model reviews, and mentor junior engineers on MBE processes, standards, and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems or product development with exposure to model‑based engineering.
• Practical knowledge of SysML/SysML v2, systems engineering processes, requirements management, verification, and traceability.
• Experience with requirements management and SysML/modeling tools, plus scripting in Python and/or MATLAB.
