Senior Engineer – Planning

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineer – Planning to develop and execute comprehensive planning strategies for infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and CPM methodologies.
• Analyze project requirements, identify risks and dependencies, and provide data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership.
• Allocate resources across multiple projects, conduct feasibility studies, and monitor progress against baselines.
• Prepare and present planning reports, forecasts and performance metrics to management.
• Mentor junior planning staff and drive process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Industrial preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering project planning and scheduling.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
