Senior Engineer Production

About the role

ADNOC Group is hiring a Senior Engineer Production in Abu Dhabi. The role plans, supervises and carries out rigless operations, testing and stimulation to optimise oil and gas producing wells, water supply wells and water/gas injection wells, and provides technical support to field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare programmes for rigless operations, perforation, kick-off operations, stimulation and well testing to be carried out by service companies
• Prepare programmes for multi-rate production/injection tests and isochronal/modified isochronal tests, and coordinate and supervise testing operations
• Carry out preliminary interpretation and evaluation of test results, and follow up and supervise wireline work by contractors
• Verify reports and send them to Asset Development for further review and action
• Supervise production logging and carry out preliminary log interpretation
• Monitor the performance of oil/gas producing and water injection wells, investigate and diagnose well problems, and recommend workovers with prognosis and justification
• Coordinate and supervise downhole equipment testing and maintenance
• Review and evaluate water injection cluster performance and discuss long-term injection tests with engineers from other departments
• Monitor the performance of installed production equipment
• Take part in technical studies on water/gas injection, artificial lift, oil and gas operations, and facilities optimisation or modification
• Maintain a database on well history, oil/gas production, water production/injection and gas injection statistics
• Take part in developing operating, reporting and recording procedures for production and injection performance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• 8 years of experience in petroleum engineering, including workover, completion, well testing and production operations
