Senior Engineer – Rotating Equipment (Oil & Gas)

About the role

The Senior Engineer, Rotating Equipment provides expert technical authority for major rotating assets throughout their lifecycle, from selection and design to commissioning and operation. You will support both project and operations teams, driving reliability, cost optimisation and the integration of predictive technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver project engineering support for rotating equipment during design, EPC, testing, commissioning and start‑up phases.
• Assist operations and maintenance teams in troubleshooting chronic issues and executing major maintenance activities.
• Develop, review and roll out engineering and maintenance standards, specifications and procedures for rotating equipment.
• Prepare and optimise five‑year overhaul and inspection plans for major rotating assets.
• Contribute to CAPEX planning, budgeting and alignment for rotating equipment projects.
• Support refurbishment and repair strategies for insurance and reparable spares.
• Deploy predictive analytics and diagnostic tools to improve equipment reliability.
• Provide technical studies and recommendations for equipment upgrades, modifications and replacements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of project engineering experience in the oil and gas sector.
• Strong background with major rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines, pumps, drivers and auxiliaries.
• Proven ability to support equipment across the full lifecycle (FEED, EPC, commissioning, operation).
