Senior Erector

About the role

The Senior Erector is responsible for installing elevators and escalators at client sites in Dubai, following defined installation procedures and strict safety guidelines. This position involves coordinating with contractors, inspecting site conditions, and ensuring that all equipment is installed to Otis standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials against purchase orders and document any damages or shortages.
• Coordinate civil works and installation schedules with building contractors and other trades.
• Verify vertical alignment of lift shafts and check shafts, door openings, and pits against shop drawings.
• Install machine‑room equipment, hoist ways, rails, doors, and other components according to shop drawings.
• Complete installation checklists and submit them to the Team Lead – Installations.
• Maintain a clean work area, restrict site and machine‑room access per Otis safety guidelines, and report any discrepancies.
• Define and achieve performance goals, identify training needs, and stay updated on industry techniques.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in elevator/escalator installation.
• At least 2 years of progressive responsibility with team‑handling experience.
• Ability to communicate routine information to knowledgeable audiences.
• Willingness to work primarily in the field, outside a traditional office environment.
