Senior Executive - IT Application Specialist (PAS)

About the role

Aster DM Healthcare is hiring a Senior Executive for its Information Technology department as an IT Application Specialist focused on the Patient Administration System (PAS). The role supports and maintains PAS-related applications and workflows within the hospital information system, preferably TrakCare, and works closely with Patient Administration, Front Office, RCM, Billing, Insurance, Operations and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional support for PAS applications and workflows, including patient registration, appointments, admissions, discharges, transfers and encounters.
• Support workflows for patient eligibility, insurance coverage and authorisation, and understand their impact on billing, patient share, insurance claims and the revenue cycle.
• Analyse and troubleshoot issues with patient accounts, encounters, payer information and billing.
• Gather requirements from PAS, Front Office, RCM, Billing and Operations users and support application configuration and approved system changes.
• Prepare test scenarios, run system testing and UAT, and coordinate with users, IT teams, RCM/Finance teams and vendors on issue resolution.
• Provide user training and demonstrations, identify workflow gaps and suggest improvements, and give post-implementation and day-to-day support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT.
• 2-5 years of experience in hospital information systems or healthcare applications; healthcare application experience preferred.
• Experience in PAS, registration, appointment, ADT, billing, insurance or RCM workflows preferred.

Required skills

• Good understanding of PAS and hospital workflows, and of RCM, billing, insurance and claims workflows.
