Senior Executive – Retail Product Development

About the role

The Senior Executive will lead retail product development for a fast‑growing retail group in the GCC, managing licensed and generic product ranges across multiple categories.

Key responsibilities

• Manage retail licenses, licensor relationships, contracts, product development, brand plans and forecasts.
• Develop on‑trend, customer‑focused ranges for categories such as electronic gadgets, toys, plush, stationery, souvenirs, apparel, confectionery and accessories.
• Oversee the full product development cycle from concept sketches to finished goods, providing feedback to vendors and negotiating costs.
• Coordinate with IP product development teams on new lines, vendor updates, design changes and upcoming media campaigns.
• Present range concepts to senior management, finalize budgets and approve purchase orders based on stock models and trends.
• Source new ideas from international markets and theme parks, expand the vendor base and negotiate optimal terms.
• Monitor sales, inventory and pricing to achieve gross margin targets while ensuring compliance with GCC safety standards.
• Analyze vendor performance and maintain communication with warehouse and retail teams.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent with 6+ years experience, including senior managerial roles, or 10+ years relevant experience with 4+ years senior level.
• Minimum 2 years theme‑park retail experience; large‑scale resort or theme‑park background preferred.
• At least 4 years international procurement experience with strong import/export logistics knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems, inventory management and auto‑replenishment processes.
• Strong English communication skills and basic marketing/visual merchandising knowledge.
