Senior Executive Vice President – Corporate Credit Management

About the role

The Senior Executive Vice President – Corporate Credit Management will lead the design, evaluation and implementation of corporate credit policies and programmes for Mashreq’s Corporate Banking division. Reporting to senior leadership, the role oversees the full credit lifecycle across assigned sectors, ensuring robust risk governance and alignment with the bank’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end credit lifecycle for corporate banking portfolios, including underwriting, approval, monitoring and remediation.
• Develop and maintain sector‑agnostic credit policies, procedures and underwriting standards.
• Structure complex credit facilities – bilateral, syndicated, structured and project‑linked – in partnership with relationship teams.
• Provide credit advisory to Relationship Managers on transaction structuring, collateral, regulatory and market considerations.
• Evaluate and approve complex credit proposals across multiple industry sectors.
• Monitor portfolio quality, manage sector concentration risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with Business, Legal, Compliance, Audit, Finance and Operations to ensure seamless implementation and monitoring of credit facilities.
• Maintain Corporate Credit Policy Manuals and conduct due‑diligence for new products or sector initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive cross‑sector credit expertise with ability to independently assess and manage credit exposures.
• Strong understanding of corporate lending frameworks and regulatory expectations.
• Proven experience in structuring and approving complex credit facilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across internal and external partners.
• Demonstrated ability to drive policy development and portfolio oversight.
