Senior Finance Manager / Finance Director

About the role

An established industrial and business services organisation in Abu Dhabi is looking for a senior finance professional to lead its financial operations and support strategic decision‑making. The role covers financial management, treasury, compliance and commercial finance in a project‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance with IFRS and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Oversee treasury, liquidity, banking relationships and working‑capital management.
• Provide commercial and financial insights to support operational performance, business planning and investment decisions.
• Manage statutory audit, tax compliance and financial reporting obligations.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to monitor performance, control costs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead and develop the finance team, promoting accountability and efficiency.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, including process optimisation and system improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or CMA preferred.
• Significant leadership experience in project‑based, capital‑intensive or B2B industries (engineering, infrastructure, construction, industrial services).
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work with senior business stakeholders.
• Willingness to be based in Abu Dhabi and work onsite.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS.
• Understanding of UAE taxation and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing statutory audits and liaising with Big‑4 auditors.
• Expertise in treasury, cash‑flow management and financial reporting.
