Senior Finance Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and detail‑oriented Senior Finance Officer to join our finance team in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will oversee key financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support strategic decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day finance and accounting activities, including AP/AR and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports and management dashboards.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Analyse revenue, expenses, profitability and prepare variance explanations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, including audit preparation.
• Handle UAE VAT reporting and ensure compliance with local financial regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records, schedules and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with banks, suppliers, customers, auditors and external service providers.
• Identify financial control risks and recommend improvements, including automation of reporting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA) is advantageous.
• Several years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including financial reporting, reconciliations, AP/AR, budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and commercial awareness.
