Senior Financial Analyst - 6 Months (Environmental Services)

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst for a 6-month full-time contract to support the Finance Department of a leading organization in the industrial and environmental services sector. The role supports the CFO in financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation, regulatory compliance and internal controls, and calls for strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to manage reporting independently.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CFO in daily finance operations and financial decision-making.
• Prepare, verify and record accounting transactions on assets, liabilities and capital accounts.
• Review monthly payroll records before payment processing.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with GAAP and IFRS, including lease accounting under IFRS 16.
• Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts, and take ownership of month-end closing.
• Consolidate financial information with corporate consolidation tools and prepare balance sheets, P&L, management reports and other statements.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and prepare profitability and cost allocation analyses.
• Oversee tax provisions, deferred tax calculations and internal controls, and coordinate external audits.
• Develop financial procedures and reporting processes, and guide finance team members.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, financial management and financial reporting; previous industrial experience highly desirable.
• Experience in financial reporting, IFRS/GAAP accounting, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting and month-end closing.
• Knowledge of taxation, deferred tax accounting and financial compliance.
• Relevant professional finance certifications and a UAE driving licence are advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and IFRS 16; financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting and month-end closing.
• SAP, Oracle Financials or Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision.
• Advanced Excel, MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize deadlines and manage multiple activities.
