Senior Financial Controller – Business Partner – Oil & Gas

Where Finance meets Strategy, Operations, Technology & Growth. A senior Finance Controller opportunity with a diversified Oil & Gas organization. This high‑impact leadership role combines finance business partnership, financial control, performance management, commercial decision support and finance transformation across a multi‑entity business operating in the UAE and wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to senior leadership, providing insight for commercial decisions, bids, projects and strategic initiatives.
• Lead annual budgets, forecasts, long‑range plans and financial modelling, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Own accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting, variance analysis and management commentary.
• Strengthen financial control and governance, ensure compliance with policies, and coordinate audits and tax requirements.
• Drive working‑capital optimisation, cash generation and cost discipline, overseeing receivables and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Evaluate capital expenditures, investments and business cases, delivering financial modelling and commercial insight.
• Lead finance transformation across ERP, automation, analytics and digital processes, improving P2P, O2C and R2R efficiency.
• Develop and mentor the finance team, establishing performance standards and a strong business‑partnering culture.

Required profile

• 10+ years of finance experience, including 7+ years post‑qualification.
• 5+ years within Oil & Gas, Energy Services or related industrial services.
• Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) – essential.
• Proven expertise in FP&A, financial reporting, control, commercial finance and business partnership.
• Experience managing finance across multiple entities and leading ERP/automation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, working‑capital, cash‑flow and financial governance.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior operational and commercial leaders.
• UAE/Middle East experience preferred; MBA and Arabic language capability advantageous.
