Senior Financial Controller

About the role

The Senior Financial Controller will lead the finance function for an industrial and manufacturing organisation based in Dubai. The role focuses on ensuring compliance, optimizing financial performance, and providing strategic financial insight to support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial statements and management reports.
• Manage a finance team of 10+ professionals.
• Oversee multi‑entity and group consolidation activities.
• Develop and supervise budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards.
• Monitor and enhance internal controls and financial policies.
• Provide financial insights and data analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Strong background in accounting and finance within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
• Experience with multi‑entity and territory reporting.
• Proven experience managing large finance teams.
• Experience in Africa is mandatory.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are advantageous.
• In‑depth knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations in an industrial environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with financial software and tools.
• Effective leadership and communication skills.
