Senior Financial Crime Compliance Consultant – Correspondent Banking

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Crime Compliance Consultant to lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive FCC framework for a bank with correspondent banking activities in Dubai. This senior contract position requires deep expertise in regulatory standards and hands‑on experience building compliance programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop an end‑to‑end FCC framework tailored to correspondent banking, assessing gaps against FATF, Wolfsberg and UAE regulations.
• Define and implement policies, procedures and controls for CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, name screening and sanctions compliance.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal and Operations to align the framework with the bank’s risk appetite and strategy.
• Establish governance, reporting structures and key risk indicators, and prepare documentation for internal and regulatory review.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of financial crime compliance experience, focusing on correspondent banking.
• Proven track record of building FCC frameworks from scratch and interacting with regulators.
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA Diploma or CFCS are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Sanctions regimes (OFAC, EU, UN) and UAE Central Bank/DFSA requirements.
• Customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, transaction monitoring, name screening.
