Senior Hairstylist - Aveda Salon

About the role

Aveda Salon, part of Al Tayer Insignia's retail division, is looking for a Senior Hairstylist in Dubai. The salon delivers premium beauty and wellness services under the Aveda brand, which is known for high-performance, plant-based products and a commitment to sustainability and holistic beauty. The role provides hair care services so customers look and feel their best.

Key responsibilities

• Identify each customer's needs and recommend suitable styles, services and products
• Consult and advise throughout the styling process, including colour, style, hair type and treatments
• Cut, trim and style hair; provide colouration from basic to artistic, including highlights
• Perform permanent straightening and waving with specialised products
• Maintain records of key customers' preferences, such as colour shades and wave formulas
• Stay up to date with the latest styles and trends and know the products used or sold in the salon
• Maintain personal grooming standards and the cleanliness and hygiene of the salon
• Coordinate with receptionists to maximise the number of appointments per day
• Guide and supervise hair and salon assistants to uphold salon standards

Required profile

• High school qualification
• Formal hairdressing qualification (City & Guilds Level 2)
• 3-4 years of hair cutting experience in a reputable salon
• Pleasant personality and good grooming
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
