Senior Hook Up Engineer – Mechanical

About the role

The Senior Hook Up Engineer will lead the mechanical discipline during the hook‑up phase, supporting the Hook‑up Lead and Manager to deliver construction and completion campaigns on time and safely. This role involves solving complex technical problems, coordinating multidisciplinary activities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review hook‑up job cards, ensuring prerequisites and sequential installation steps are defined.
• Develop discipline‑specific WBS and hook‑up schedules, synchronising activities with other disciplines.
• Review construction work packs, material requisitions and MTOs for compliance with project specifications and offshore contingencies.
• Coordinate delivery, receipt, inspection and hand‑over of materials and fabricated components to site and offshore locations.
• Monitor progress registers, constructability logs and risk assessments, ensuring adherence to Permit‑To‑Work and QHSES policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of offshore engineering experience, preferably in hook‑up and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards such as API and ISO.
• Proficiency with project management tools for planning, scheduling and tracking.
• Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMI) is an advantage.
