Senior HSE Engineer – Environment

About the role

The Senior HSE Engineer – Environment will ensure consistent implementation of NMDC Group’s HSE policies, promote environmental awareness among field personnel, and conduct inspections to maintain compliance across all site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all employees consistently implement the Company’s HSE policies and procedures.
• Promote HSE awareness to develop environmental awareness among field personnel.
• Conduct onsite inspections of work environment, equipment, vehicles, and facilities to verify compliance with NMDC Group’s HSE Manual and project‑specific requirements.
• Identify and report environmental observations and LSR violations.
• Verify HSE requirements for each work scope and the implementation of FRA control measures.
• Monitor subcontractors’ HSE performance and ensure adherence to NMDC Group standards.
• Deliver HSE induction programs for NMDC and subcontractor personnel and coordinate emergency response drills.
• Participate in investigations of accidents, incidents, and near‑misses.
• Prepare weekly and monthly site HSE reports and statistics for senior management.

Required profile

• Diploma in a related field or equivalent.
• NEBOSH, IOSH Diploma or an equivalent internationally recognised HSE certification (preferred).
