Senior HSE Manager

About the role

Currie & Brown is seeking a site‑based Senior HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environment initiatives on its Ajman projects. You will work closely with project leaders to ensure high‑quality service delivery, promote a culture of safety, and support the company’s reputation as a preferred service provider.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership for project safety and implement strategic safety initiatives across professional and contractor workforces.
• Manage and report mandatory safety KPIs to senior management.
• Develop and execute project‑specific safety plans and conduct on‑site inspections for compliance.
• Review, approve, and monitor contractor safety plans and liaise with Department of Labour inspectors.
• Arrange OSHA‑mandated testing, verify injury logs, and ensure timely reporting to government agencies.
• Lead emergency response drills, conduct accident and near‑miss investigations, and address employee safety concerns.

Required profile

• BSc in Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of technical delivery experience in a global construction consultancy.
• Accredited to a relevant professional body such as CIOB or CMIOSH.
• Experience on high‑rise projects, fit‑outs, and test‑fit works.

Required skills

• IOSH and CITB scaffolding safety inspection certification.
• NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• NVQ Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice.
• First‑aid training.
