Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and management of our virtual and physical server environments. You will ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of critical infrastructure services across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, and deploy VMware solutions (vSphere, vCenter, vCloud, Horizon) and manage virtual infrastructure components such as VMs, templates, clusters, and DRS.
• Configure virtual networking (vSwitches, distributed switches, VLANs) and storage (VMFS, NFS datastores) and administer vRealize Operations for performance monitoring.
• Design and implement disaster‑recovery solutions, backup, replication, and recovery strategies using VMware technologies.
• Manage enterprise server hardware (HP, IBM) and storage systems (IBM, Hitachi), overseeing installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Services, and Microsoft Exchange.
• Perform system upgrades, patching, lifecycle management, and capacity monitoring.
• Develop and enforce IT security policies, system hardening, and access controls.
• Automate routine administration tasks with scripting tools such as PowerShell.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and implementing VMware virtualization solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and related services (AD, DNS, DHCP, Exchange).
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise server hardware and storage platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to design disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity solutions.
• Experience automating tasks using PowerShell or similar scripting languages.
