Senior Instrumentation Engineer (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi team on a six‑month contract. The role involves delivering detailed engineering designs, specifications and documentation that meet international, organisational and client standards for our projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and approve detailed engineering designs, specifications, calculations and contract documents.
• Develop instrument indexes, data sheets, loop drawings, wiring termination diagrams, cable routing, control‑room layouts and related documentation.
• Coordinate material requisitions, vendor drawing reviews and technical queries to ensure timely procurement.
• Lead technical discussions, HAZOP, SIL and alarm‑management reviews, and support client and vendor meetings.
• Define control‑system architecture, specifications and evaluate PLC/DCS vendor proposals.
• Conduct factory, integrated and site acceptance tests (FAT, IFAT, SAT) for control systems.
• Organise inter‑discipline checks and issue engineering drawings for cross‑discipline integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics or Communications Engineering.
• Significant experience in instrumentation and control‑system engineering, preferably in the oil & gas or industrial sector.
• Proven ability to lead projects, work with multidisciplinary teams and adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
