Senior Instrumentation Technician – Rolling Mill

About the role

The Senior Instrumentation Technician (RM1) is responsible for electrical and instrumentation maintenance in the rolling mill, ensuring maximum plant availability, safety and cost‑effective operation during the day shift.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, coordinating with the supervisor and production teams.
• Prioritise work orders, analyse trends and prepare daily shift reports to minimise downtime.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, conduct audits and ensure compliance with budgetary limits.
• Lead troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and implementation of counter‑measures for major equipment failures.
• Supervise, train and evaluate the maintenance team while supporting UAE national development programmes.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) policies and participate in safety audits.

Required profile

• Diploma in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering.
• 5‑7 years of instrumentation maintenance experience in a rolling‑mill environment, preferably bar/wire rod mills.
• Work experience in the Middle East with knowledge of local regulations and conditions.
• Familiarity with health and safety compliance systems.
• Effective communication skills in English and Arabic.
