Senior Investment Strategist – Digital Assets

About the role

An institutional digital asset investment platform is seeking an experienced Portfolio Director to lead investment strategy, fund operations and regulatory oversight across its Abu Dhabi and Dubai‑regulated entities. This senior, hands‑on position is responsible for capital allocation across quantitative fund‑of‑funds, DeFi yield and real‑world asset strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute digital asset investment strategies, including quantitative fund‑of‑funds, DeFi yield and real‑world asset allocations.
• Manage fiat and stablecoin on/off‑ramping, DeFi execution and investor redemptions.
• Operate institutional custody infrastructure with transaction approval authority.
• Perform daily NAV calculations, reconciliations and maintain operational controls.
• Verify on‑chain transactions and smart‑contract interactions.
• Act as VARA Responsible Individual and director of both regulated entities, ensuring compliance with ADGM FSRA and VARA requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience managing discretionary capital or institutional fund operations in portfolio management, proprietary trading or digital‑asset investment.
• Expert knowledge of crypto quantitative strategies (delta‑neutral, basis, carry, perpetuals) and strong experience with DeFi lending, staking and yield‑generation protocols.
• Eligibility to satisfy FSRA and VARA Fit‑and‑Proper requirements and be approved as Portfolio Manager and Responsible Individual.
• Residency in the UAE or willingness to relocate to Dubai for full‑time onsite work.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or related field; CFA, CAIA or FRM preferred.
