Senior IT Compliance Specialist

About the role

IT Compliance sits at the intersection of technology, regulation and business, translating regulatory obligations into practical controls for a fast‑moving fintech environment. The Senior IT Compliance Specialist will own audit readiness, gap assessments and day‑to‑day compliance activities, ensuring the organisation meets UAE financial‑sector requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate IT audits, supervisory reviews and regulatory information requests, delivering complete evidence on time.
• Conduct IT compliance and control gap assessments against local regulations, internal policies and industry best practices.
• Identify compliance gaps and technology risks, define remediation plans and track corrective actions with IT, Security, Risk and Compliance teams.
• Support development, implementation and maintenance of IT, cybersecurity and information security policies, standards and procedures.
• Act as subject‑matter expert, translating regulatory expectations into implementable controls and maintaining audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• 4‑6+ years of experience in IT compliance, IT audit or technology risk management within regulated financial environments.
• Strong knowledge of UAE financial‑institution regulatory expectations (IT governance, cybersecurity, data protection, access management, BCP/DR, etc.).
• Proven experience conducting IT and cybersecurity gap assessments and defining remediation plans.
• Experience supporting regulatory inspections, supervisory reviews or external IT audits.
• Fluent English and professional working proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken).
