Senior Land Surveyor

About the role

KN International is seeking an experienced Senior Land Surveyor to support construction projects across Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role covers land and construction surveys to determine accurate positions, levels, boundaries and dimensions needed for project execution, in line with approved drawings, project specifications and UAE authority standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct land and construction surveys to find precise locations, elevations, lines, areas and contours.
• Carry out setting-out works for buildings, roads, utilities and infrastructure.
• Operate and manage total stations, GPS, level machines and data collectors.
• Establish and verify site control points, benchmarks and reference grids.
• Review and verify survey data such as distances, angles, coordinates and elevations.
• Perform topographic, boundary and as-built surveys as required.
• Prepare survey reports, sketches and as-built drawings.
• Maintain accurate records of survey activities and coordinate with site engineers, consultants and contractors.
• Verify site levels and coordinates before and during construction, and help resolve discrepancies between design drawings and site conditions.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Land Surveyor on construction projects; strong experience in UAE construction projects is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of UAE construction standards and site procedures.
• Ability to interpret drawings, coordinates and technical specifications accurately.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently and with site teams.

Required skills

• Total station, GPS and leveling instruments, and survey software.
• AutoCAD and survey data processing tools.
