Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Legal Counsel to join a Dubai‑based developer focused on sustainable energy and environmental infrastructure. Reporting directly to the General Counsel and acting as their deputy when needed, you will work closely with senior management on a broad range of legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, regulatory, governance and compliance issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Support senior management in strategic decision‑making and risk assessment.
• Monitor changes in Middle East legal frameworks and ensure company compliance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external counsel and legal service providers.

Required profile

• Qualified Common Law lawyer trained and retained by a major international law firm.
• 7‑12 years of post‑qualification experience, primarily in corporate and commercial law.
• Strong drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Commercially astute, solution‑oriented and able to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Corporate and commercial legal expertise.
• Advanced contract drafting and negotiation.
• Familiarity with Middle East legal frameworks (desirable).
• In‑house experience in the sustainable energy or environmental sector (desirable).
