Senior Logistics Officer

About the role

The Senior Logistics Officer will coordinate and monitor import and export shipments, ensuring timely and cost‑effective movement of goods while complying with customs, permits and documentation requirements. The role works closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, transporters, customs teams, Finance and internal departments to keep logistics operations smooth.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipment schedules with suppliers, customers and freight forwarders.
• Monitor shipments and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Handle customs clearance, permits, NOCs and prepare shipping documentation.
• Negotiate freight rates and manage demurrage and storage costs.
• Arrange third‑party transportation and support export freight quotations.
• Collaborate with Finance on payment processing and maintain accurate shipment records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain or customs clearance.
• Hands‑on experience with import/export shipments and coordination with freight forwarders and shipping agents.
• Good knowledge of shipping and logistics documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong written and spoken English.
