Senior Logistics Support Advisor (Active Secret Clearance)

About the role

Peraton is seeking a Senior Logistics Support Advisor to join its U.S. Army Africa Mission Support program. This temporary 15‑month position supports logistical and acquisition planning for U.S. Army operations across the African continent, working on‑site in Vicenza, Italy.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the G4 and Operational Contract Support Integration Cell (OCSIC) in planning acquisition requirements for steady‑state, contingency, and exercise support.
• Develop and update the Operational Contract Support Common Operational Picture (OCS COP) and provide logistics acquisition processes for SETAF‑AF operations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to create acquisition packets, including performance work statements, market research, and cost estimates.
• Track contract actions, identify challenges, and recommend process improvements.
• Prepare briefings, information papers, charts, and staff summaries for senior managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of military experience, or High School diploma with 10 years U.S. Army experience.
• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Familiarity with DFAR, AFAR, and the contracting process; experience with the Military Decision‑Making Process (MDMP).
• Ability to complete the Joint Operational Contract Support Planning and Execution Course (JOPEC) within six months.
• Preferred: former U.S. Army officer, senior warrant officer or senior NCO; Additional Skill Identifier 3C; prior Contracting Officer Representative experience; 10+ years Army experience.
