Senior Manager - Contracts and Commercial

About the role

The Senior Manager – Contracts and Commercial oversees the full lifecycle of engineering and construction contracts for CAPEX programmes and strategic infrastructure projects. The role ensures contracts are administered according to governance frameworks, regulatory requirements and industry standards, supporting timely delivery and commercial compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with internal policies, FIDIC standards and regulatory obligations.
• Collaborate with project planning teams to align contract conditions with schedules, validate contractor baseline programs and assess schedule impacts.
• Monitor contractor and vendor performance against KPIs, service level agreements and contractual obligations, leading performance reviews and corrective actions.
• Review, validate and certify contractor invoices, variations and claims, coordinating with Finance for timely payment processing.
• Maintain comprehensive contractual records, correspondence and documentation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in contract management for engineering, construction or CAPEX projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and commercial governance frameworks.
• Proven ability to integrate contractual requirements with project planning, scheduling and financial control processes.
• Excellent analytical skills for delay analysis, extension of time assessments and cost tracking.
