Senior Manager - Customer Due Diligence

About the role

Emirates NBD is recruiting a Senior Manager for its World Bank (WB) Customer Due Diligence (CDD) team. The team carries out due diligence checks on WB corporate and FIG customers during onboarding and ongoing reviews, working closely with Business Compliance, Business Segments, Tanfeeth ARC and RMC. The manager reviews the WB portfolio, ensures timely completion of reviews, manages the team and supports management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Review the WB population identified for period review and trigger reviews, covering CB and FIG portfolios, ensuring adherence to compliance policy and internal guidelines
• Check that documentation submitted for risk assessment and transaction monitoring is appropriate, and escalate incomplete or overdue cases
• Approve exceptions in line with delegated authorities and support checkers by reviewing cases and monitoring turnaround times
• Manage compliance requests and projects, liaising with Tanfeeth ARC, RMC and OPC ARC, and with Group Compliance on policy updates
• Engage with Relationship Managers and customers to explain requirements and resolve issues; act as single point of contact for escalations
• Ensure reviewed cases are entered in Finacle within the agreed turnaround, documents are stored in Doc safe, and reconciliations are in place
• Oversee control functions within the team, drive team engagement and improvement, and submit management reports on time
• Lead end-to-end project delivery, including BRD inputs, UAT and implementation

Required profile

• Degree education as a minimum
• At least 8-10 years of banking experience, including at least 4 years in CDD reviews
• UAE experience preferred, with an understanding of local corporates and structures
• Compliance background with working knowledge of CDD/KYC and other regulatory requirements
• Preferred: Arabic language
