Senior Manager / Director - Financial Crime and Fraud Technology

About the role

KPMG Middle East is strengthening its Financial Crime and Fraud practice by appointing a Senior Manager / Director to lead its AI- and data-driven transformation capability. The role sits within the Fraud and Financial Crime solution and delivers technology-enabled transformation for Financial Services clients, with a focus on AML, sanctions, fraud and broader financial crime. It spans advisory, solution design and implementation, and also contributes to building the firm's market proposition and growing the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain senior client relationships, including C-suite stakeholders, and lead business development, go-to-market initiatives, proposals and end-to-end bids
• Advise clients on financial crime transformation, including technology, data and operating model enhancements
• Lead delivery of complex, technology-enabled transformation programmes using data, analytics and AI, overseeing quality, risks, timelines and budgets
• Guide solution design, architecture and implementation, and drive reusable assets and solutions
• Lead, coach and develop multidisciplinary teams across data engineering, data science and domain specialists, and support recruitment and resourcing
• Embed best practices, methodologies and delivery standards, and contribute to the growth of the Financial Crime and Fraud solution

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Financial Services, focused on Financial Crime, Fraud or Forensics
• 10-15+ years of experience in AML/KYC, sanctions, transaction monitoring, fraud detection and prevention, and financial crime technology and transformation
• Proven track record leading large-scale data- and AI-driven programmes in Financial Services
• Experience building, mentoring and scaling data and analytics teams
• Preferred: Big 4 or leading consulting firm background, exposure to RegTech/FCC platforms, and experience with regulators or regulatory-driven transformation

• Strong understanding of the end-to-end data and analytics lifecycle
• Ability to design and deliver technology-enabled solutions, including reusable assets and accelerators
• Deep Financial Services domain expertise and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
