Senior Manager, Internal Audit

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Audit Manager to join the Internal Audit function for Checkout MENA, reporting to the Global Head of Internal Audit. Based in Dubai, the role will deliver audits across Treasury, Finance, Operations and Compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the annual audit plan for MENA legal entities, including audit universe and risk assessment.
• Support implementation of the internal audit assurance framework, including continuous improvement monitoring and automated audit routines using AI/Data Analytics.
• Deliver and oversee the audit plan to ensure timely and relevant audit outcomes.
• Document and communicate audit findings to senior management, the regional Board and Risk Committees.
• Monitor implementation of findings, measure effectiveness, and report to oversight committees.
• Develop strong relationships with the Board, local regulators and act as a trusted advisor.
• Promote and embed a strong control culture through meaningful assurance programs.
• Evaluate and enhance audit methodology and tools, ensuring adherence to IIA standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead continuous monitoring and updating of risk assessments within the Continuous Risk Assessment framework.

Required profile

• University degree with a minimum of 12 years audit experience in technology, fintech, payments or regulated financial institutions in the MENA region.
• Proven track record managing and delivering audit plans, including planning, staffing and reporting multiple engagements.
• Subject‑matter expertise auditing operational, finance, treasury and/or compliance (AML/CFT) processes.
• Working knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks (CBUAE, DIFC, ADGM) and experience interacting with Boards, Risk Committees and regulators.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CA or CAMS.

Required skills

• Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python).
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
