Senior Manager, Newsroom & PR (Emerging Markets Central)

About the role

The Senior Manager, Newsroom & PR leads the integrated public relations and social media strategy for Emerging Markets Central, ensuring the adidas brand, categories and products receive strategic, high‑impact exposure across markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead the integrated PR & Social Media strategy across Emerging Markets Central, aligning global and local activities.
• Act as a senior thought leader in storytelling, providing strategic guidance to markets and cross‑functional teams.
• Lead social activations and content creation for all brand digital and social networks.
• Collaborate with Brand Marketing (Digital and Retail) to increase awareness of adidas messaging, campaigns, products and innovations.
• Oversee end‑to‑end toolkit and content production, from briefing to agency selection, ensuring quality and budget efficiency.
• Maintain senior‑level relationships with the Global Newsroom Network and regional stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver integrated PR & Social Media strategies, story ideas, press kits, releases and briefing documents.
• Drive consistency of adidas brand messaging across all media outputs in the region.
• Manage major media engagements such as press conferences, interviews and media days.
• Lead brand reputation management, including issues and crisis mitigation.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in PR, social media and integrated communications.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across global and regional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to develop high‑impact storytelling concepts and crisis response plans.
• Excellent understanding of brand reputation management and media relations.
