Senior Manager - Strategic Development

About the role

The Senior Manager – Strategic Development will lead medium to large‑scale real estate development projects from inception through delivery. Reporting to senior leadership, you will coordinate internal and external consultants, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure projects meet strategic, budgetary and quality objectives across sectors such as industrial, residential, commercial, retail and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple strategic development projects, defining briefs, timelines, budgets and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with design teams to set design standards and ensure alignment with asset development plans.
• Prepare and update business cases, feasibility studies and financial models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Secure necessary approvals and manage regulatory processes.
• Oversee technical feasibility studies, economic impact analysis and cost estimations.
• Monitor design deliverables, construction progress, budgets and risk registers.
• Negotiate heads of terms for sales, purchases and other contractual arrangements.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to maximise project value.

Required profile

• Minimum 84 months (7 + years) of experience in real estate development.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Strong analytical skills for feasibility and financial modelling.
• Experience working with government or regulatory bodies is advantageous.
