Senior Manager Systems Engineering - Rail & Metro

About the role

Sener is looking for an experienced Senior Manager - Systems Engineering to support the delivery of a major rail program in Saudi Arabia. The role suits a senior engineering professional with 20 years of overall experience, including at least 15 in rail and metro, who has a proven track record in systems engineering leadership, multidisciplinary integration and railway systems assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering strategies, processes and deliverables across the railway project lifecycle
• Oversee system requirements management, traceability and alignment with design and operational requirements
• Coordinate multidisciplinary railway systems engineering, design integration, verification and validation
• Manage systems assurance activities, technical reviews, compliance and resolution of engineering issues
• Coordinate with clients, operators, contractors, consultants and suppliers on technical matters
• Monitor systems engineering risks, design changes, technical deviations and integration challenges
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary systems engineering teams

Required profile

• 20 years of professional engineering experience, including at least 15 in rail and metro
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications, Control Systems Engineering or a related discipline
• Extensive experience leading systems engineering on major railway or metro projects
• Strong knowledge of requirements management, systems integration, verification, validation and systems assurance
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary railway systems and technical interfaces
• Understanding of railway standards, engineering compliance and technical risk management
• Excellent English communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills

Preferred qualifications

• Experience on major integrated rail and metro programs
• Exposure to RAMS, railway safety assurance and systems verification and validation
• Experience with international engineering consultancies, contractors or railway systems suppliers
• Familiarity with GCC railway standards and project requirements
