Senior Mechanical Engineer (Piping) Offshore

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Piping) to join its offshore team in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves leading engineering activities, supervising construction and fabrication, and ensuring compliance with industry standards for major oil and gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all mechanical engineering tasks related to piping systems on offshore projects.
• Manage construction and fabrication activities, ensuring adherence to API, ASME and other relevant codes.
• Coordinate the full EPC project lifecycle, from design through commissioning and start‑up.
• Support commissioning, operation and start‑up phases, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience, with at least 6 years in oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
• Proven experience in offshore construction and EPC environments.
• Hands‑on involvement in commissioning, operation and start‑up activities.
• Previous work on ARAMCO projects is considered an advantage.
