Senior Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead static equipment engineering across FEED, EPC and detailed engineering phases for oil & gas and petrochemical projects in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, specification and procurement of static equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, tanks, separators, filters, reactors and package equipment.
• Develop and review datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations and vendor documentation ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes (ASME, API, TEMA, ASTM).
• Coordinate with process, piping, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation and procurement disciplines to integrate static equipment requirements.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manufacturing procedures and inspection requirements; support constructability reviews, value engineering and cost optimisation.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, constructability workshops and technical meetings with clients, vendors and contractors.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring and supervision to senior engineers and engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 15 years of relevant oil & gas or petrochemical experience, including 5 years in the GCC region.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar senior role on international major projects; experience with PMC, ADNOC, FEED & EPC phases and offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API 650/620/661/660, TEMA, NACE and ADNOC standards.
• Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities in multidisciplinary, multicultural environments.
